About this Piece:

My years in Fargo were filled with several floods including the 100 year flood that brought the community to a halt in 2008. As the city recovered, the scenery changed as provisions were made to prevent the catastrophic flooding. The dykes that went up also provided a change of scenery that I was intent on capturing to make light of the melancholic change.
