About the piece:

This was captured on a pleasant sunny morning in South Minneapolis. My son and I were walking and enjoying the last bits of Minneapolis’s Summer and something about this seemingly normal scene captured my eyes. It might have been the long shadow of the tree or the quaintness of the alley, but I snapped a photograph and later recreated that bit of sunniness on canvas.
