Leila Rastegar is an Iranian born artist. Art has been her passion from the time she was young. In Iran, Leila obtained a BS in Computer Engineering from Shiraz University while attending Art classes and learning from the some of the greatest Iranian artists. Soon, Leila began teaching Art classes while working full-time and raising her two children.

In August 2001, Leila and her family moved to the United States and resided in Fargo, North Dakota.  She attended North Dakota State University for Bachelor of Arts and working at the University's gallery.  She then obtained her MFA in Painting and Drawing at the University of North Dakota.  Her work of art can be seen throughout the Fargo-Moorhead area including: West Acres Mall, Ecce Gallery, The Plains Art Museum, and at North Dakota State University's Memorial Union.

Leila's childhood dream is now her full-time job. Her style is representational with a direct, painterly approach.  Leila paints with her heart and captures the soul of her Persian roots and current Midwest home. Her most recent project encompasses a series of Minnesota and North Dakota landscapes.
